2 lbs. baked potatoes
2 cups flour
2 eggs
Salt
Nutmeg
2 slices bread
1 T butter

Peel and mash potatoes.
Add flour, eggs and seasoning, knead to a firm dough.
Cube bread and fry lightly in butter.
Shape dumplings, bore a hole in each and put in several fried bread cubes.
Close over the hole.
Drop into boiling salted water and cook 10 to 15 minutes.
Test one dumpling in the water, if it falls apart, work more flour into the dough.
