Shepherd's Pie


 

3 pounds ground beef

5 pounds mashed potatoes

2 medium onions, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 beef bouillon cubes

2 Tbs. flour

2 cups water (use leftover waters from making mashed potatoes)

1 cup or more grated Swiss cheese

1 cup or more grated cheddar cheese

Instructions:

Brown and drain ground beef, set aside.

Sauté onions, and garlic until translucent. Add (potato) water , bouillon, meat and flour.

Simmer until mixture thickens. Put in 9"x 12" lasagne pan, layer with Swiss cheese, top with mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, removing the cover for the last ten minutes to crisp the cheese.
