Ken's Chili



 

2-3 pounds ground beef

2-3 onions

15 oz . tomato sauce or 10-12 medium tomatoes

1 tsp. Tabasco sauce

2-3 Tbs. chili powder

1 Tbs. oregano

1 tsp. cumin

3-6 cloves garlic

1-2 tsp. salt

Fresh or frozen chilies or red pepper powder

1 lb. canned or pre soaked pinto or navy beans (or a mixture of other beans)

Instructions:

Brown and drain: 2-3 pounds ground beef, 2-3 onions, chopped.

Add: 15 oz. tomato sauce or 10-12 medium tomatoes, skins removed, 1 c. water, 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce, 2-3 Tbs. chili powder, 1 Tbs. oregano, 1 tsp. cumin, 3-6 cloves garlic, minced, 1-2 tsp. salt, Fresh or frozen chilies or red pepper powder (make it as hot as you dare!), 1 lb. canned or pre soaked pinto or navy beans (or a mixture of other beans).

Simmer for several hours and serve hot over steamed rice or cheese noodles.

Top with grated cheddar cheese and sour cream if desired.
