About Abe-n-Doren

We are Abe and Doren (or Doren and Abe). We live in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, between Edgewood College and the UW Madison Campus. This is our humble, but comfortable abode:

Doren's father, Ken, lives with us along with a multitudinous menagerie of pets.

We've been together for almost ten years and in that time have created our home and haven, filling it with the things we love, mainly good food, great friends and a fast internet connection. We love to entertain and our house feels most like home when it's filled with our friends. Our spare bedroom is usually available for long lost friends to come to stay or soon to be friends to visit. Sometimes we wonder what we have in common, since our interests are so varied.

Abe loves astronomy, pixels, reading non-fiction, especially about the history of invention and science, and all things that glint, glitter, and refract. Doren loves fiction, orchids, growing great food and flowers, cooking, and all her critters- especially Abe.

We share a common outlook on life and the world, we love to travel and photography, our politics are pretty progressive, and we appreciate the same qualities in our friends. Often we know what the other is thinking, before it's said. These things bind us together.
